Hey Gang,
Ok, so I'm 12 days late on my New Year's Resolutions. I started out fine but the details of last week's MOD NIGHT-A GO GO drove me into a ditch. THANK YOU to all the people who came out to our first mod night at 12th & Porter, it was our biggest turn out yet. Bands, Elle Macho & Million Sellers were outstanding and the talented dancers from Music City Burlesque (Diletta Delight, Lucy DeLovely, Frankie Apple) were go go gorgeous!
Congratulations to Wes Little (Twang Deluxe drummer/my husband) on being asked to play for Obama's Inauguration. He'll be playing Obama's Neighborhood Ball, televised on ABC. I may try to stow away in one of his bass drum cases.Back to my resolutions. My big one for this year is to get more organized. There are a lot of details involved in planning a MOD NIGHT, doing online vocal sessions for clients and just life in general. I know if I organize a bit more I can work smarter and be more productive. I can't tell you how many times I've had to chase down an email from a band to try and figure out if they told me the COULD do mod night on that date or the COULDN'T do it... I've got all the usual resolutions... work out more....eat better food...and stuff I'm not sharing here.. ha! ... but organization is the one I'm gonna put a dent in this year. If you had some resolutions you messed up already, why not start late with me today.
Your pal,Britt
