“Hell On Heels” Head-to-Head with Miranda Lambert… Shelly Rann says, “I’m All Over That”
Shelly Rann releases new single “I’m All Over That” in response to competing “Hell On Heels” single from Miranda Lambert’s Pistol Annies
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (MMD Newswire) July 11, 2011 – The recent release of “Hell On Heels” from Miranda Lambert’s new group Pistol Annies came as quite a surprise to Nashville singer/songwriter Shelly Rann. Rann released her first single, also titled “Hell On Heels” to Country Radio in April and was seeing promising results with her debut at # 76 on the Mediabase Country Building Chart in early May.
The recent release of a single of the same name “Hell On Heels” from Lambert’s Pistol Annies left Rann with little choice but to release a second single from her debut album “Afterwords”. Based on very positive reviews from radio program directors and overall reviews of her CD, the natural choice and clear winner became “I’m All Over That”.
Rann co-wrote her version of “Hell On Heels” with Larry Bastian, best known for writing the Garth Brooks hits “Unanswered Prayers” and “Rodeo” and Rann also co-wrote, “I’m All Over That”, with Henry Paul and Dave Robbins of the multi-platinum country group BlackHawk. Henry Paul co-produced the debut album titled “Afterwords” and released the CD on his own label, Mirror Lake Records.
The latest single from Rann will be released in late July in conjunction with a brand new music video, shot on the amazingly impressive digital cinema camera from RED. The same camera used to shoot the major motion pictures “The Social Network” and “The Book of Eli” starring Denzel Washington.
Look for the music video to be released to CMT and GAC in late July, however, fans in Baltimore, MD will have an opportunity to catch a sneak preview of the video which is set to air at Camden Yards on the Orioles’ HD Jumbotron on Sunday July 17th when Shelly Rann stops by to sing the National Anthem for the Orioles vs. Indians at 12:35pm EST. The first 10,000 fans at the game will also take home a download card with 3 Free Songs including “Hell On Heels”, “I’m All Over That”, and “Afterwords” courtesy of Shelly Rann, The Baltimore Orioles, and WPOC 93.1 FM.
Shelly Rann’s debut CD “Afterwords” is available at Amazon.com and her first single titled “Hell On Heels” as well as the brand new single titled “I’m All Over That” are available for download at Amazon.com and on iTunes.
